VIA Capital ("we", "us", or "our") is an independent financial education platform operated by Viacapital Finance. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and handle your personal information when you use our website (viacapital.space).

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a transparent relationship. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

What works without an account

Most of the website, lessons, calculators, the IPO centre, news and the tax hub, works without signing in. A read-only simulator preview may also be available. Preferences such as quiz progress, language choice and popup dismissals can be stored on your own device in browser storage. A signed-in account is required for personal simulator plans, virtual wallets, orders and trading history.

What we store when you create an account

If you register, we store your email address, the profile details you enter (name, city, phone if you add it), your learning progress and any messages you exchange through VIA Wealth Connect. Advisors additionally submit professional details and certificate documents for verification. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.

Website analytics

We measure how many people visit each page, on which type of device, and the broad region the request came from, so we can improve the site. We do not store IP addresses, names or email addresses against these measurements, and we do not sell or share this data. Google Analytics may also run on the site for aggregate reporting; you can block it with any standard browser or extension setting.

Notifications and emails

If you opt in to daily reminders or browser push notifications, we store the notification token your browser generates so we can deliver them. Account emails (verification codes, password resets, conversation alerts) are sent from notify.viacapital.space. You can unsubscribe or revoke notification permission at any time from your browser or device settings.

Payments

When you buy a simulator plan, a detailed calculator PDF report or an event promotion package, payment is completed through the payment provider shown at checkout. VIA Capital records the order reference, plan, amount and payment status needed to activate access and provide support. If you are signed in, the purchase is linked to your account so you can see it under My Account & Records. Sensitive card, bank and UPI authentication details are entered with the payment provider and are not displayed to VIA Capital. Ratings, reports and error logs

When you rate a calculator, we store the star rating, the calculator name and, only if you are signed in, your account so you can see your feedback later. Ratings from visitors who are not signed in are counted anonymously and never shown individually. We count free and paid PDF report downloads per calculator, and record technical error reports (page address, browser type and error message) so we can fix problems. These records do not include card or bank details.

Cookies and similar storage

We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your choices. Analytics cookies are used only if you choose "Accept" in our privacy banner; you can change your mind by clearing site data in your browser.

Third-party data

Market prices, IPO details, grey market premium indications and news headlines are fetched from public third-party sources purely for display. We do not send your personal information to those providers. Links to brokers, courses or books may be referral links; clicking them takes you to that company's own site, governed by their privacy policy.

Legal basis under Indian law

We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, as they come into force in phases, and with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it. We process your data on the basis of the consent you give (for example when you create an account, opt in to notifications or accept analytics) or for legitimate uses the law allows, such as completing a purchase you asked for or meeting legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing already carried out.

Your rights

• Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used.
• Ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your personal data.
• Withdraw consent you have given.
• Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
• Raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

Retention, security and your rights

We keep account data for as long as your account exists, and verification documents for as long as an advisor listing is active. Data is stored on managed infrastructure with access restricted to the platform owner. You can ask us to correct or permanently delete your account and associated data by writing to hello@viacapital.in; we action such requests within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.

Children

The platform is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has registered, write to us and we will remove the account.

Grievance Officer

In line with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the DPDP Act, 2023, privacy complaints and data requests can be sent to our Grievance Officer: Abhishek Sharma, Founder, VIA Capital, at hello@viacapital.in (subject line "Grievance"). We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version, and significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
